There has never been a more important time for schools to focus on the wellbeing of staff and pupils. But knowing where to start when it comes to promoting and measuring wellbeing in schools can feel daunting.
This free webinar brings together three experts who share practical, low-cost ideas for making wellbeing a priority in your school.
Section 1: A practical guide to teaching wellbeing!
This section is presented by Adrian Bethune, Author of Wellbeing In The Primary Classroom, Teacher and Founder of Teachappy. In this webinar he explores the science behind teaching wellbeing, shares evidence of what works and offers some practical ideas that you can easily apply to your own teaching in the classroom.
Section 2: A data-driven approach to whole school wellbeing!
This section is presented by Bob Wilkinson from BounceTogether. Bob explores the importance of data and discuss how you can better use insights to make confident and informed decisions to advise your whole school wellbeing strategy.
Section 3: Whole school wellbeing in practice - becoming an outstanding school!
This final section is presented by Soofia Amin, Assistant Head Teacher - EAL, Community & Emotional Health Lead at Kensington Primary. Soofia explores how her school reshaped learning by creating 'Curriculum K' which places pupil, staff and parental wellbeing as priority. In recognition of their "outstanding approach to wellbeing", Kensington was recently awarded the Pearson Gold Award for Primary School of the Year: Award for Making a Difference! The school is also one of few in the country to have been awarded a gold standard by the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools. Soofia explores the strategies and programmes that supported these fantastic achievements, and discusses their recent experience of an Ofsted Deep-dive into wellbeing, which recognised the school's approach as outstanding.
